We were lucky enough to be able to work with Ainsworth Building and Construction (ABC) in late 2018. From our first meeting with the team, we were sure that this was the builder for us and our first house extension. Trent and Paula were able to guide us through the different aspects of our building project and explained things thoroughly so that we were confident in what we were planning and how it was going to be executed. In a nutshell; they are highly skilled, deliver high level workmanship, they turned up when they said they would, they worked some pretty hard hours, were polite, courteous and tidied up every day – that’s right, every day! Not only that, they made sure our doggies were safe and comfortable throughout their works. During the building stage, we were kept up to date by the builder as well as the office regularly. As things changed throughout the project, we were able to discuss any site limitations or opportunities to improve the design. We were also able to confidently discuss our budget and where it might take us even when we wanted to make changes at different stages. Trent kept us up to date with any subcontractors coming to site, day to day and usually had an ABC team member to meet them and brief them on the works and ensure they were completed to a high standard. As our project included significant asbestos removal as well as replacing and rebuilding the roof, we of course, were concerned about everyone’s safety as well as keeping the neighbours informed. Both of these major parts of the project were carefully planned for and ABC were diligent in ensuring that works were carried out safely and that the existing part of the house would not be damaged (when there is no real roof on your house, this is definitely an unnerving time). The best thing about the project with ABC was being able to partner with the building team and have fun creating something beautiful to live in. Trent and his team were highly skill and imaginative so that we could come up with some really cool finishes in the house. I can’t thank the team enough for all the work they put in and we love our new place!!!
